Clean the build surface

Finger oils and residue can prevent adhesion. Follow the build-plate manufacturer’s cleaning guidance and avoid touching the print area after cleaning.

Confirm leveling and nozzle offset

A nozzle that is too high lays down round lines that barely touch. Too low can scrape the plate or restrict flow. The goal is a consistent, slightly compressed line across the bed.

Match bed temperature to material

Use the filament and build-surface recommendations as a starting point. Excessive or insufficient bed temperature can both create problems.

Slow the first layer

A slower first layer gives material more time to bond. Also verify that the first-layer extrusion width and cooling behavior are appropriate for the material.

Use adhesives only when appropriate

Glue can be an adhesion aid or a release layer on certain surfaces, but it should not replace correct leveling, cleanliness and temperature settings.
